My Approach

Drawing from Leading Therapeutic Approaches

Using National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommended, evidence-based interventions such as CBT and IPT, I have supported many clients in overcoming challenges including:
Depression, Generalised Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Panic Disorder, OCD, PTSD and Low Self-Esteem.

Therapeutic Approaches

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)

IPT focuses on the relationship between our emotional wellbeing and our connections with others. In using techniques such as communication analysis, we can explore how difficulties in relationships such as conflict, loss or life changes, can impact on mood and self esteem. This approach is particularly helpful therefore when working through any relationship issues, including starting and maintaining relationships, in addition to managing life changes such as divorce, parenthood, loss and menopause.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is an effective, evidence-based approach for difficulties such as depression, anxiety, and low self-worth. It focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours that may be maintaining distress. By developing practical coping strategies and new ways of thinking, CBT can help reduce anxiety, lift mood, and build resilience.

Psychodynamic / Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

This approach explores how early experiences and unconscious processes shape current thoughts, feelings, and relationships. It allows space for reflection and insight, helping clients understand recurring patterns and emotional struggles on a deeper level. Unlike structured methods such as CBT or IPT, psychodynamic work is open and exploratory, encouraging lasting emotional growth and self-awareness.

Person-Centred Experiential Therapy (PCE)

PCE therapy creates a supportive, empathic, non-judgemental space for clients to explore their experiences at their own pace. It is led by the client’s needs and values, supporting emotional processing, self-understanding, and positive personal change.
